The TeamViewer could be used as an alternative for RDP. There are other remote access and remote control packages available as well. This guide will show how to install TeamViewer on the Windows server. If you go into the "Synaptic Package Manager (SPM)" and search for "qt quick", you can install those dependencies and retry TV and see if that works. I have not had any problems running it, but I already have those dependencies, other software packages, installed. TeamViewer (TV) is a superb remote control & remote access application. Welcome to the wonderful world of Linux Mint and its excellent forum! deb installation : after clicking the Teamviewer executable a little window without content opens very quickly and then shuts down. Thanks for these instructions, i tried this but the result is exactly the same as before with the. Other systems (not officially ablesupported) There is also a teamviewer setup program, which I don't use, that will integrate TV (create menu and or desktop entries) and start the TV daemon service which is always running, good if you use it a lot or want it running all the time, not so good if you don't. Download their 64-bit or 32-bit Linux archive file from the "Other systems (not officially supported)" links, right-click the archive file and extract here which will create a teamviewer folder, move the folder to your Home for or not, then within the "teamviewer/tv_bin/" folder double-click the teamviewer file or desktop file you can copy the desktop file to your "/home/Desktop" folder for a desktop shortcut. AFAIK, their Linux archive file is self-contained, ready to run, software. You (and other Linux users) might consider using the Teamviewer (TV) Linux archive file rather than their deb file. I just read your post and the good replies to it.
